Our Start

If you watched the video by Ruthie Ewers, you will have heard that the National Postal Customer Council™ (PCC®) was established in 1961 to improve communications between U.S. Postal Service® customers and managers. Around that same time, both the Greater Dallas PCC started as one of the first local PCCs in the country. Soon after, the Fort Worth PCC was founded. The PCC organization has grown increasingly more important since the 1970s, when business mailing issues became its primary focus.

The PCC is a national organization sponsored by the USPS. Today, there are more than 155 local Postal Customer Councils with approximately 120,000 members across the nation. Regular meetings, educational programs, mailer clinics, and seminars keep members abreast of the latest Postal Service™ developments. Members also work closely with local Post Office™ locations to make mail service more efficient, resulting in improved delivery and greater customer satisfaction.

In January of 2024 the Greater Dallas and Fort Worth joined to create a new PCC following a restructure of the USPS regional area. By combining the two PCC’s, we can more effectively support the area’s growing mailing community.

As a USPS recognized organization, annual awards are presented to PCC’s, Greater Dallas and Fort Worth have been recipients of many awards over the years.
